Meet the Board

Hello everyone. My name is Mattijs Vernooij, and I am 23 years old. I grew up in Odijk, a small village near Utrecht. Next year, I will be the new chairman of Asset | Econometrics. In addition, I will also serve as the acquisition coordinator at Asset General. I started my studies here in Tilburg four years ago and hope to complete my Bachelor's after my board year. Upcoming year, I will also coordinate two very nice committees, the Olden Goldies and the Freshmen committee. Besides academics and Astrics, I enjoy meeting up with friends, going to festivals, or having a drink in the city. I look forward to seeing all of you at one of our events and at the rooms. Hi, I am Britt! This year I have the honor of being the secretary of the board of Asset | Econometrics. I am a 20 year old student from Amersfoort, currently in the third year of my bachelor's, which will become a few more years oops…During my first two years at the association I was part of both the Freshmen Night and the Freshmen committees. This year I am coordination of (again) the Freshmen Night, Econometricians for society, Active Members Weekend, KOALA and Nekst committees which I do with much fun! Hopefully see you soon at the rooms or activities!

My name is Siebe and I am 21 years old. I was born near Tilburg, in Berkel Enschot. I became active at Asset | Econometrics halfway through my first year and have since done several committees: Freshmen Night, Active Members Weekend, and last year I was on the Audit Committee. I have also been active at my basketball club in recent years and did a board year there last year. In addition, I have enjoyed going to as many Asset | Econometrics activities as possible in recent years and am looking forward to organizing some of them myself this lustrum year! When I am not busy with Asset | Econometrics I enjoy playing basketball, running, playing board games, and traveling.
I look forward to being Treasurer of this beautiful association this year!

Hi everyone! I'm Selina Bötzel, and I am the External Affairs Officer at Asset | Econometrics together with Mylène. I'm 23 years old and grew up in a small village near Tiel called Eck en Wiel. In the past two years, I've been part of different committees at Asset | Econometrics. I started in the Freshmen Night committee, then did the Promotion committee (where we designed the amazing hoodies). Before joining the board, I was part of the Econometrics Consultancy Tour committee and the Nekst committee. I love windsurfing if the weather is nice and going out to eat with my boyfriend and friends. When the weather isn't nice, I escape on sunny vacations. I've had already a great time during my board year and I'm excited to meet you at our rooms or events in the last few months of my board year.

Hi everyone!! I am Mylène, and I am this years' External Affairs Officer together with Selina. I am 21 years old and I was born in the ‘Achterhoek’ where I lived my whole life, until 3 years ago when I moved to Tilburg. Since then I’ve had a very active student life in which I did multiple committees at Astrics and Vidar. Last Fall I went to Hong Kong to study abroad for the semester, where I had the most amazing time. I am very excited to meet you all during the activities!! See you soon :)

Hey there, I am Sara and I am the Internal Affairs officer of Asset | Econometrics. I lived my whole life in France, with my Dutch parents and siblings, until 2.5 years ago when I moved to Tilburg to study Econometrics. After Top-Week, I directly joined a committee of Astrics: the Active Members Week committee. We had a whole lot of online meetings due to Covid-19 but that did not stop us from having very long and fun discussions. After some postponed AMWs we made it to have an amazing weekend without too many Covid struggles. Then I joined the Nekst and also the Yearbook committee. In those committees, there was a lot of space for all my design and creativity needs. Besides studying, or for now, besides being a boardie, I like to spend time with my friends. We often watch a movie together under a blanket or we tilt the other way and go out to sing and dance the night away. 
This year I am the person you can come to if you want to know more about joining a committee or want to discuss something about our EOR bachelor. I am always sitting next to the door, ready to have a chat with you so do not hesitate to come by our rooms!! Hope to see you soon :)
