Tilburg University offers an association called VAET (Vereniging Afgestudeerde Econometristen Tilburg), which is available for all econometricians who studied at Tilburg University. We as Asset | Econometrics offer our very own alumni association for former active members. Read along to find out more about the two options.
Former Active Members (FAM)
Former Active Members (FAM) can become a member of the special FAM network when they have been active for
Asset | Econometrics for at least half a year. They will be given the opportunity to stay in touch with Asset | Econometrics. Four times per year Former Active Members will receive the magazine Nekst, to keep up with the happenings within the association. Once or twice per year an activity will be organized for Former Active Members, called KOALA activities.

Have you been active for Asset | Econometrics in the past and did you already graduate, but are you not a Former Active Member yet? Register now and meet your fellow Asset | Econometrics members from years ago! Registration is simple, just send an email to info@Asset-Econometrics.nl. You will be sent a form, which you will have to send back filled out. The current secretary will then sign you up!
The membership fee (10 euros) will be paid by direct debit. You will receive an authorization form after you have subscribed.
TiU Alumni Association VAET
The Association for Alumni in Econometrics at Tilburg (VAET) is the association founded for and by alumni in the bachelor and master educational programs of Econometrics and Operations Research of the School of Economics and Management of Tilburg University. The association started formally in November 1986, but is already active since 1969. The association has almost 1000 members and is one of the largest alumni associations of Tilburg University.
The main goals of the VAET are as follows:
- to keep and strengthen the link between alumni of Tilburg University in Econometrics and Operations Research, and between them and the members of the Department of Econometrics and Operations Research and the university;
- to let the members and others who are interested be acquainted with the most actual knowledge and insights in the area of econometrics and operations research.
The VAET regularly organizes afternoons where alumni can meet each other in order to exchange old and new experiences. The VAET also tries to keep its members informed about the latest developments in Econometrics and Operations Research during these meetings, which have a scientific character. Except for Econometrics and Operations Research alumni from Tilburg University, the association's members also include staff members and PhD students at the Departement of Econometrics and Operations Research.
Membership of the VAET is free. Through the VAET it is possible to subscribe for Until, the alumni magazine of Tilburg University and Stichting Cobbenhagen, the alumni organization of the university. Members also receive the who-is-who guide of the faculty that contains the addresses of all alumni.
