The Econometrics Consultancy Committee focuses on providing advice to companies based on data. A partner is involved who can offer an econometrics-related consultancy case, often based on a real-world problem from a client. Solving this case will take six months. The group consists of six students, who are either in the final phase of their bachelor’s degree or in the master’s program, and have been selected through an application process. If a partner decides to participate in this group, we expect them to provide data and guide the students. The goal is to provide students with more practical experience and teach them soft skills. An NDA will be signed for the sharing of data.

At Datacation, the committee was tasked with optimizing a warehouse for one of their clients, while adhering to legal constraints for handling dangerous goods.
At Voedselbanken Nederland, the committee developed a prediction tool, including an interface, to forecast the demand for Voedselbanken Nederland. This helped Voedselbanken Nederland gain better insight into what they needed to order for the upcoming period.
