This is a new event launching in 2025, created in response to students’ desire to connect with companies in the actuarial field. The Actuary Business Lunch is designed to connect actuarial companies with students specializing in or interested in actuarial science, primarily QFAS (Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science) students. Held over multi-course lunch, the setting is informal yet professional, encouraging one-on-one networking. As a company, you have the unique opportunity to tell about all the activities and unique traits of your company.
The EOR in Practice Day is designed to give students insight into career paths in econometrics. The day begins with an opening speaker who shares how they apply econometrics in practice. Following this, companies will deliver presentations to younger-year students, while older-year students participate in speed-dating sessions with companies. After a deluxe lunch, all students will join one of three case studies. The day concludes with a networking drink for all participating companies. Companies can choose to participate in the presentation + speed-dating program or the case + speed-dating + networking drink program.

The Traders Tour offers students an inside look at the trading industry through visits to two trading firms. Each firm hosts students with a program that includes a company presentation, a trading-focused case study such as a market making game. The day concludes with a networking drink or dinner, providing an informal setting to connect with potential future talent. This is a great opportunity for trading firms to engage with motivated students interested in financial markets and trading careers. There is a morning and afternoon program. The afternoon program is longer, which makes it possible to add an informal activity at the end.
