This page clarifies the differences between Asset | Econometrics and Asset Tilburg.
ASSET stands for Association for Students Studying Economics in Tilburg, and has five different departments. These departments are divided based on different fields of studies, where Econometrics is one of them. All Asset departments together form Asset Tilburg, which is the overarching study association for TiSEM (Tilburg School of Economics and Management) students.
The names of the associations thus represent two things, separated by a vertical dash: being a part of Asset, and the student base. Asset | Econometrics in that sense focuses only on econometrics students of Tilburg University. The programs that ‘belong’ to
Asset | Econometrics are BSc Econometrics & Operations Research, MSc Quantitative Finance & Actuarial Science, MSc Econometrics & Mathematical Economics, and MSc Business Analytics & Operations Research.
About the board: Asset | Econometrics is responsible for its own board which is formed from members of the association. This is the case for all the departments. All the chairmen of the departments together form a board for Asset Tilburg, in which they all represent their own department. This might be a confusing structure for people who do not know the associations that well. If you would like more detailed information on this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
